Heartless reporter tries to interview dying man

By nine.com.au staff

A Central American reporter's moral judgement has been scrutinised after she tried to interview a crash victim as he lay dying on the side of the road.

The reporter for El Salvador's TVO Noticias raced over to the man, who appeared to just been hit by a truck, as he laid in a ditch, barely conscious.

Rather than render help to the victim, the female reporter ignored his cries of pain and instead shoved her microphone in his face.

The reporter bombarded the critically injured man with a series of questions, including asking him if he would like to be taken to hospital.

Hoffman's television reporter kept sticking his mike into grieving people's faces asking, "How do you feel right now?" At the end, when he has been arrested for making friends with a hostage-taker, his assistant does the same to him.

Not a significant movie, but it changed the way I looked at television news.

I can only imagine how awful it must have been for his family if they saw that clip.
