Clinton Super-PAC Going Dark in Colorado and Pennsylvania

Source: Bloomberg Politics

The pro-Clinton super-PAC Priorities USA is suspending TV advertising in Virginia, Colorado and Pennsylvania until at least the end of September, according to a person familiar with the group's plans.

After scheduling airtime in Colorado and Pennsylvania, the super-PAC has decided to go off the air in Colorado and Pennsylvania until at least the 20th of September, the person said. In addition, while Priorities had already suspended ads in Virginia, commercials that were originally set to resume in the state on Sept. 6 will now be pushed back until at least the 20th as well.

On Bloomberg TV's "With All Due Respect" on Monday, chief strategist Guy Cecil nodded to the spending decision, saying money previously reserved for ads in traditional battlegrounds would be moving "to other states but also into other activities."

"Right now, we are going to look at other opportunities for us to expand the map and potentially reach out to some new voters as well through voter registration and on-the-ground efforts in some of our key states," Cecil confirmed on "With All Due Respect."

We Democrats haven't had a good 400+ electoral vote landslide since 1964. 52 long years.

Frankly, it's high time we had one again.

And ol' Bill will polish up the TPP to where it'll slide right thru.

Makes me wonder how much of a cakewalk the race would be if the GOP put up a reasonably sane person.

The fact that this is turning out to be a landslide election at least much on account of The Donald's shortcomings, as it is on account on any virtue Hillary or Tim Kaine might have, doesn't escape me.

Do I expect very much from a Clinton-Kaine administration? No - not of them or any other administration (especially with the scorched-earth Congress we have right now).

But it's always better than having the Rethugs back in power; and whatever one's differences with these Third-Way Democrats we musn't forget that, Plucketeeer.

I don't think the American way of life, as we know it, could survive another Bush regime or anything like it.

I guess you took a wrong turn, and thought that thinly veiled criticism of the Clintons would pass unnoticed.

isn't aimed JUST at the Clintons. It's aimed at the "citizens" who actually OWN the establishment.

and adding Florida gives Clinton 271. She actually doesn't even need Ohio (or VA, NC, CO, IA, NV, NM, NH). She can still win even if she lost FL by winning NC and VA.

She had some guy on from Priorities USA & kept badgering him about the amount of money they were spending, and the race was still a statistical deadheat (I'm paraphrasing). This should answer all her "concerns". The ads that have run here in NC have been brutal to Trump, and I suspect those hard hitting ads + a well executed convention have lead to Trump falling behind in the battleground states.

What is happening here, I suspect, is that more resources will be applied to helping Congressional races. It is the smart move.

Obviously they can apply more efforts to red states and surely they will. Still, Clinton thinks strategically and she knows she can get much more done with a Congressional majority.

Madam President, Madam Speaker. I like it.
