Tim Kaine visiting Lehigh Valley this week

Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Kaine will visit the Hanover Township Community Center near Bethlehem on Wednesday, campaign officials say.

Doors open at 11:30 a.m., and the event starts at 1:30 p.m. The facility is at 3660 Jacksonville Road.

Kaine, a U.S. senator from Virginia, also will headline events Tuesday in Erie and Lancaster. He joined presidential nominee Hillary Clinton on a bus tour across the state after last month's convention, and Clinton returned to the state with Vice President Joe Biden earlier this month.

Kaine's visit to Pennsylvania comes after a recent swing by Republican vice presidential candidate Mike Pence, who held events in Montgomery and Bucks counties.
