Clinton marks March on Washington: 'Something is profoundly wrong'

Source: The Hill

Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton is marking the 53rd anniversary of the March on Washington with a call to action, saying too many Americans still face systemic racism and "constant assaults on their franchise.”

“Something is profoundly wrong when decades after Dr. [Martin Luther] King [Jr.] addressed the nation, so many Americans still feel that their country values them less, simply because of the color of their skin,” she said.

“That’s just one reason why the stakes in this election are unlike any we have faced before. Those brave men and women who marched, and sat, and bled for civil rights in America must not have done so in vain.”

"Let’s make it easier for people to vote, not harder,” she said. Clinton called for at least 20 days of in-person voting in every state and said no one should have to wait more than 30 minutes to cast their ballot.

I think the Trump campaign and the way he dominated the Republican primaries shows that appeals to racism and religious discrimination can resonate very strongly among the Republican base.

by either throwing them off the roles for some lame reason, or dissuade by not giving people weeks to vote so that they don't have to wait an hour up to 3-4 to vote! That's how Ohio was stolen in '04.
