Democrats target Libertarian ticket

Source: The Hill

By Jonathan Easley and Ben Kamisar - 09/28/16 06:00 AM EDT

Democrats panicked by third-party candidates drawing support away from Hillary Clinton are ramping up their attacks against Gary Johnson and warning that a vote for a third party is a vote for Donald Trump.

Liberal groups are passing around embarrassing videos of Johnson and running ads against him warning about his positions on issues like climate change that are important to young voters and independents.

The Clinton campaign will rely heavily on Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) in the coming weeks as it seeks to shore up its deficit among young voters and left-leaning independents who are not energized by her campaign and are considering casting a vote for either Johnson or Green Party nominee Jill Stein.
The Libertarian ticket of Johnson and Bill Weld is running surprisingly strong among young voters — a cog in the Obama coalition that Democrats need to turn out for Clinton if she’s to pull away from Trump.

Whether Clinton reaches those voters could determine the outcome of critical battleground states like Colorado, Nevada and Pennsylvania.

should run an ad ...especially all over social media.... that shows Gary Johnson with his Aleppo answer to Msnbcs Mike Barnicle and his tongue in and out embarrassing interview with Msnbcs Casie Hunt.
That should do the trick.
He is a joke that only wants to smoke dope and pay no taxes.

After he made that comment I said to myself he's done but his poll numbers stayed steady and I think that's because most 18 to 30 year olds who are the bulk of his support don't know what Aleppo is either.

The libertarian party will take far more votes away from the republicans than democrats this year. A lot of republicans can't bring themselves to vote for Clinton because she is a democrat without a penis or Trump because he is a horrible racist, sexist, idiot with no political experience who is bad with money. Most of the republicans I know are voting for Clinton but a few are voting libertarian. One conservative republican relative of mine said that he will vote libertarian unless it is close in his state then he will vote for Clinton. I'm pretty sure that he will vote Clinton anyway. He just doesn't want to admit it.
