COUNCIL BLUFFS — Anne Holton, wife of Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Kaine, was on the campaign trail in western Iowa Sunday, hoping to help push the swing state blue for the Clinton campaign.

Holton visited the Pottawattamie County Democratic Party’s office, where she discussed her husband’s goals, thanked Democratic Party supporters and encouraged them in the final push for the Oval Office.

Holton encouraged supporters to increase the vote by knocking on doors and calling people “because that’s what people listen to, not the radio and ad noise.”

Council Bluffs voters have seen plenty of local demonstrations from candidates for president. On Saturday, a Trump rally featured a mock jail with a woman wearing a Hillary Clinton mask inside.

Because I am a strong man married to for 23 years and still in love with a stronger woman.

Also love that she apparently kept her name. I did not know that and do not care. Hillary originally did that but it was part of the reason Bill lost the governorship in 80 after winning in 78. The good ole' boys in Arkansas had a problem with her not taking his name. So after he lost, she did. I credit her with taking one for the team that resulted in Bill being president. I lived in Arkansas at the time.
