Heritage Action Calls On GOP To Block Clinton's SCOTUS Noms For Years

Source: Talking Points Memo

By LAUREN FOX Published NOVEMBER 3, 2016, 5:25 PM EDT

Heritage Action is calling on Republican senators to block Hillary Clinton's Supreme Court nominees for the entirety of her administration, according to a report from the Hill.

The group has warned the Senate GOP it will take “an immense amount of willpower," but that it is essential to preserving the court.

During a meeting Thursday, Heritage Action's spokesman Dan Holler reportedly praised Republicans who've said they'd work to block Clinton's Supreme Court nominees indefinitely and warned that the obstruction of Obama nominee Merrick Garland was just the beginning of a much longer fight.

“You’ve seen John McCain and others talk about the need to not confirm any liberal nominated to the Supreme Court,” Holler said, according to the HIll. “That’s exactly the right position to have.”

They want the job and then resist doing the job. This would result in dismissal for most. Thinkingabout Nov 2016 #2

The Right is framing it as normal and like a crusade, which it is not.
It is an abrogation of the US Constitution, a violation of all of their
oaths of office, and de facto negation of the will of the people and
their votes in a Presidential election.

This cannot be allowed to stand. Voting them out and gaining the majority
may be our only recourse, and we have a problem with turnout in non-
presidential election years
as you know.

DEMOCRATIC UNDERGROUND CALLS FOR VOTERS TO DEPOSE ALL REPUBLICANS FROM THE HOUSE AND SENATE AND ELECT DEMOCRATS. We are sick of the gridlock, gerrymandering and anti-democratic behavior from a bunch of republican despots in the house and the senate.

Can anyone get Talking Points Memo to lead with that headline?

Violating their sworn oath of office. Felony foreswearing, committing treason. Pretending they won't affirm a Dem appointee because they want a nominee who is a "strict Constitutionalist" -- while they're violating the fucking Constitution in order to get the appointee who they say will "value" the Constitution like they do.

Here's an idea. The Dem president withholds the Senate's pay, until they do their job. I'd have every type of armed federal LEO camped out in the governmental offices where congressional paychecks are generated and disbursed.

That would leave four liberal out of six justices and one swing vote. I do not want their leaving to be caused by any illegal acts but it would be an ideal scenario.
