Hillary Clintons campaign manager on Monday said that the team planned to devote few words to FBI Director James Comeys announcement that nothing new was found in emails linked to her private server. Instead, theyre staying positive in the final 24 hours before Election Day.
Appearing on CNNs New Day, Robby Mook was asked of the impact of the renewed focus on Clintons emails over the past nine days.
You know, I don't think damage was done, Mook said. First of all, this matter has been in the news for some time now. I think voters had already factored it into their decision. But what we're seeing in the numbers is record early turnout across the board.
Early returns in critical states like Nevada, North Carolina and Florida have shown positive results for the Democratic nominee, with high numbers of women and Latinos casting their ballots for Clinton.

(13,058 posts)and the results of early voting confirms this. People had already made up their minds on Hillary's emails and that was over and done with prior to the Comey thing. All the machinations of the evil GOP & their collusions with the FBI will end disastrously once President-Elect Hillary Clinton will be confirmed on the big day tomorrow!!

and I think it hurt our downballot candidates,
costing us at least one and possibly two
senate seats which we desperately need.

(4,764 posts)It could very well have cost us the Senate especially with so many of those races being neck n neck. Hopefully Hillary's mini surge here in the final couple of days and a good ground game can at least get us a 50/50.....fingers crossed.
