Donald Trump has cast doubt on links between election hacks and Moscow

Washington (CNN)Even as President-elect Donald Trump and his aides cast doubt on the links between Russia and recent hacks against Democrats, US intelligence officials say that newly identified "digital fingerprints" indicate Moscow was behind the intrusions.

One official told CNN the administration has traced the hack to the specific keyboards -- which featured Cyrillic characters -- that were used to construct the malware code, adding that the equipment leaves "digital fingerprints" and, in the case of the recent hacks, those prints point to the Russian government.

But, despite an initial public assessment by the US intelligence community in October that Russia was behind the intrusions, Trump and his staff continue to voice doubts.

"The idea that we're jumping to conclusions before we have a final report is, frankly, irresponsible," Trump's incoming press secretary, Sean Spicer, told CNN's Alisyn Camerota Monday......................

interesting dreams lately and for some reason I keep having this one particular recurring dream in which some revelation is made, last minute, that ends up with him being arrested around the 19th or 20th... some thing to do with his to being able to control his penchant for gloating in which he reveals/admits openly to treasonous acts that the judicial system can't ignore.

If that doesn't happen, I can only say that I welcome the day I get to evacuate the planet... although saddened and ashamed of my species.

And if my superior brain can't understand it, then the CIA is just making shit up. Plus, that's what Putin told me.

Better to communicate via courier (also Vladdy's idea - we are good buddies).

Dispute, deny, delay.

"The science isn't in."
"The audit isn't complete."
"The intelligence report isn't finished."

The only thing that is finished the moment it happens is a sperm impregnating an egg, which instantly produces a full-grown baby.

elections is not exactly new territory, even for the US.

I'm sincerely hoping to find out...I've read a number of posts herein...how the Russian Hacks were able to change votes ... especially Electoral Votes. If they were hacking individual votes for Trump, they obviously failed. However, I fail to see how hacking can change even individual votes from one candidate to the other.

But in our country, it is the Electoral College, no matter how distasteful, that rules the election for precisely this reason, or so it claims.

So if we're to do something about this...if it truly made the difference in a US POTUS, then we need to get information and methods poste haste ... that apparently was not forthcoming until AFTER the vote.

Where were votes switched. How did they switch them. Was it just votes for Hillary switched to Trump? Hacking isn't enough of an excuse, AFAIC. With all the National Intelligence Agencies claiming it to be so, seems too little, too late. Who, why, where how and when. Just a lot of hanky-waving without that. Then there's Wikileaks...another whole universe.

Perhaps we should appoint Jimmy Carter for our Election Verification Czar.

Maybe we could get Jill, Elizabeth and Bernie? Because if she stays with the Green Party, it's a non-starter. She's already marginalized beyond the more traditional "rabble rousers" that I love so much. Even her own VP candidate didn't support her. But I sure did like how she dug her heels in and went forward.

Even Bernie gets "tagged" because he had to register as a Democrat to run. Then they accuse him of not being a "good Democrat". So....

Then we observe other country's elections that we think might not be free and fair.

that we don't know yet and won't know until they're ready to do something about it. I'm guessing, by reading in between the lines, that they strongly suspect the vote was hacked. They just don't have the proof or confirmation to put it out there yet.

election fraud and voter fraud and perhaps even hacking...which can be as "simple" as taking a look-see at some information. But you have to be able to act on it for it to be of any value, seems to me. But for a number of reasons, I and others, want some real answers. The least of which...one must know where a leak is to plug it for the future.

I tell my insurance company that water damaged my belongings and I want reimbursement. I don't get to see one penny until I verify how it happened.

But thanks for the thoughts...I'll be watching and waiting.
