Pro-Trump PAC backed by Linda Bean in trouble with FEC

AUGUSTA — L.L. Bean heiress Linda Bean made excessive contributions to a political action committee she bankrolled to support Republican President-elect Donald Trump, the Federal Election Commission said.

Making America Great Again LLC was limited to individual contributions of $5,000, according to a letter Wednesday from federal regulators obtained by The Associated Press. Federal campaign finance reports show Bean contributed $60,000 while the group spent $66,862.

The FEC letter said the group could face punitive action or an audit if it doesn’t respond.

The group on Friday responded by taking steps recommended by the FEC to change its registration to a super PAC that can raise unlimited funds. The group, which also goes by the name Making Maine Great Again, spent the funds on signs, Facebook and radio advertisements and 30-second TV ads in support of Trump.

1. When I read this earlier today, I went directly to their

customer service link and sent them an email explaining that I would never make another purchase after learning of the Bean family's support of Trump.

I order gifts from them nearly every Christmas and other occasional items for my husband.

Can't send my money to any business that supports the man and party who would send me to the poor house without medical insurance without a second thought.

Democrats must do a better job of supporting businesses that share
and value our communities, families, health, quality of life

Sometimes the best way to value your own life and family is to minimize
consumption, a simple life has fewer financial worries and more fun and
better planning for the future

9. Had to call my husband and tell him I cant; get him that flannel shirt he wanted from LL Bean.

Will have o try and find a really colorful plaid someplace else They are totally off our shopping list effective this minute. Think I will send them an email and let them know about my choice. Hope others do the same. Boycott all drumpf enablers as they are funding the destruction of our way of life.
