KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Students at Center High School in Kansas City say they were determined to take the high road Friday night when the schools basketball team had a rematch against Warrensburg High School.
The two teams made headlines in December when Warrensburgs student section turned their backs during Centers player introductions. The atmosphere this time around was a 180-degree turn from the first meeting.
Center completed a season sweep, beating Warrensburg 72 to 35, but students admitted there was more on their mind than just the game.
Center students say its tough to forget the last matchup. Warrensburg students were caught on camera turning their backs on Centers players as they were announced, all while wearing farmer attire, and with one student waving a Trump-Pence campaign sign.
