Trump Puts Words in Clapper's Mouth

Source: The Daily Beast

President-elect Donald Trump tweeted Thursday morning about his private conversation with Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, in a statement that contradicts the spy chief’s take. “James Clapper called me yesterday to denounce the false and fictitious report that was illegally circulated,” Trump wrote. “Made up, phony facts. Too bad!” Just hours before, Clapper released a statement condemning the leaks while saying the intelligence community had not yet made a judgment on the reliability of the information contained in the dossier, which was released in full by BuzzFeed News. As far as the “private security-company document,” Clapper stated, “I emphasized that this document is not a U.S. Intelligence Community product and that I do not believe the leaks came from within the IC. The IC has not made any judgment that the information in this document is reliable, and we did not rely upon it in any way for our conclusions.” Clapper said he was “dismayed” by the leaks and agreed they are “extremely corrosive and damaging to our national security.” The DNI chief suggested the intel community share certain materials with Trump because their existence, true or not, was important for him to be aware of. Nowhere in Clapper’s statement did he suggest he believed the allegations in the document were outright false.

in a few days, Trump and the GOP will be able to silence the intelligence community.

This entire thing is almost done unless some investigative journalist is able to uncover more.

The CIA and FBI will not pursue this any longer once trump is in office.

FBI is a fan club in certain areas but the CIA maybe not so much. Trump can install whoever he wants but there are agents working there who won't bow down to the Golden Urinator.

3. He's pissed off (and on) the IC and the media. Together, they can bring him down.

IC can probably destroy him even if gutted/cut back and forced to sign loyalty agreements or whatever. And the media, if IC puts out damaging info on Hair Trumpenfuhrer can certainly see that it gets a lot of attention.

Maybe wishful thinking - but I wonder if the CON in Chief will make it 4 years without impeachment (all Repubs don't like him) or having to or wanting to resign.

9. OFFICERS! Not "agents"!

What status you have in the Intelligence world depends on two things: who you work for and who you report on.

Officers, which all CIA personnel are, work for our country and report on their country.

Agents work for their country, and report on our country.

Double agents work for our country. They report on both our country and theirs.

Spies work for our country, and report on it too.

If what they're saying about Trump is accurate, he's a spy.

or the FBI or the CIA. If he keeps digging at the Intelligence agencies he will get buried. All they need to do is ask MI6 to "look into something they need investigated. Britain is our greatest ally, I don't they will have a problem telling us the truth, then leaking.
