Donald Trump spokesman Sean Spicer on Thursday morning accused Democrats of not working with Republicans to quickly confirm the President-elect's cabinet nominees.
"It really speaks volumes that the Democratic leadership is not working with us to ensure a continuity of government," Spicer said.
Spicer claimed that Democrats are trying to delay the confirmation process for Trump's nominees. "They are continuing to deploy delay tactic after delay tactic," he said.
He said that Democrats have embarked on "partisan attacks" in confirmation hearings, which Spicer said was "not in the best interest of the country."

(10,749 posts)All of this, along with der drumpfenfuhrer's tweeting, reminds me of what a dog trainer told me ages ago.
Basically, when you have a dog that is misbehaving, the key is to distract and redirect. That's what the republicans have been doing for damn near 20 years. Distracting and Redirecting. And they have stayed on message. Whatever the issue, whatever the complaint, whatever the whatever - Distract the American public on republican failures and redirect to blaming Democrats. And, you know what? It's worked.
And we suck at it. Every single Democratic legislator, every single Democratic pundit - they have to turn it back on the republicans. They are the majority in the Congress, and they have the presidency (pardon me while I gag on this), and they still can't get anything done.

(3,847 posts)They talk about the "big boy pants" and all that shit, but these are all the children in nursery school without their naps. They want what they want when they want and expect us to bend over. If they don't complete adoration and praise, they have tantrums and want Mommy and Daddy to come to their rescue.
These incompetents are so over their heads in how to act it is destroying our country.

(23,102 posts)Drumpf appointed sleazebags who are getting called on their shit and so are not getting approved. If Drumpf cared about competency and morality and working class folks, and appointed people that reflected these, there would be no issue. Instead, he appointed partisan hacks with no experience and a clear agenda to fuck us over. Naturally, Dems are not going to be a rubber stamp.
Spicer can save the crybaby act, no one is buying it outside of the usual Drumpf deplorables.
