CNN reported that more people are at the National Mall for the Womens March On Washington than attended Trumps inaugural.

Donald Trump hailed a failed inaugural that was poorly attended and lacked enthusiasm. To use Trump terms, his inauguration was low energy and sad. The majority of voters did not vote for Donald Trump to be the next president, and that majority is demonstrating that while Republicans may temporarily control the federal government, it is the majority who are fighting back in America.
Update: The AP reports that data suggests there are more people at the March than were at Trumps inaugural, Figures from transportation officials in Washington suggest more people may be on the National Mall for the womens march than came for President Donald Trumps inauguration. As of 11 a.m. Saturday, 275,000 people had taken trips on the citys subway system. On Inauguration Day, 193,000 trips had been taken as of that time, and the rail system opened an hour earlier that day, at 4 a.m.

20,000 LAST night in NYC, many more today
20,000 in Atlanta
100,000+ in Los Angeles (just beginning)
Too many in Chicago to hold the march, the rally will be at the lakefront
10,000 in Portland Maine
Many more around the country, I'm sure there will be reports on those later tonight.

Could certainly be true, but the fact is, we have to look at everything, but everything with a little bit of healthy skepticism these days.

(470 posts)they all have jobs and had to work. That's the excuse they're using. If that's the case, then
1) what do they need trump for? I thought all his supporters were the "forgotten Americans" who can't get work because of globalization and bad trade deals.
2) When I was stationed in Washington D.C., even the Navy gave us the day off to attend if we didn't have duty that day.
3) Very first WH briefing; Spicer apoplectic, says it's the largest inaugural crowd ever, trump estimate is right, everyone else is wrong. What a surprise.

Once people see the direction these clowns are taking the country
the protests could grow, the phones in Congress will ring with citizen
complaints. That's how Demcrats have to play this game, this stolen
election and stolen Court seat, the pending thievery of national resources.
Remains to be seen but this volume of dissent hasn't been seen since

We can beat this guy and the disgusting GOP once and for all after his Presidency turns into the nightmare we all know it will.
Next time we get into power in Washington, no more being nice or bipartisan.
