Trump's DC hotel has already lost over $1 million since opening: report

Source: Raw Story

According to a letter issued by Democratic members of the House Oversight Committee, President Donald Trumps newly opened Trump International Hotel in Washington D.C. has lost more than $1 million in net income in its first two months of operation.

The financial figures are contained in a letter from Elijah Cummings (D-MD), the ranking member on the committee, which also notes that reported revenues are $2 million less than estimates provided to the General Services Administration by the Trump Organization when they took over the property.

According to the DCist, Trump International, located in the Old Post Office, has been a major object of concern for Democrats as a conflict of interest for the new president who agreed to the lease in 2012, well before he ran for president.

In the letter, the Democrats once again expressed dismay that Trump has not severed his organization from the hotel which may place him in violation of the Emoluments Clause in the U.S. Constitution.

Alternate suggestion to reality showing that he's proving to be a losing loser again: he's pulling some kind of Vegas style skim on the profits, to give to his overlords Joey no socks and Tony the Tuna.

A bunch of lying R criminals. Where are the investigations and court orders to appear?

I know, the wheels of justice turn slowly. Too slowly in fact.

He has a lot of known associates who could advise him about how to pull a skim.

. . .Forbes magazine (not exactly a bastion of liberal ideology) says that had he taken the money he got from this dad's fortune, and simply broad base invested it, he would be 2 billion bucks richer than he claims to be. So, even with skimming (or whatever other tricks) his brilliant business tactics resulted in a fortune $2B less than if he had done NOTHING!

Nobody that wants a favor from Trumpf willbe staying anywhere else. It's going to be packed with favor-seekers and foreign agents. He'll be raising rates and ignoring requests from people who don't stay at his hotel.

And I'm sure a lot of messianic Trumpf-true-believers will want to stay their as well, just to absorb some of his radiated greatness.

I sure wouldn't want to stay there. I would feel like I was sleeping in a place with a big old target on it. Secondly, who knows what gross thing the Cheeto may have done in there already.
