Today I heard a dyed-in-the-wool Repuke try to explain to a liberal friend how Drumpf is the best. Everything that came out of this rube's pie-hole was a lie! Like:
>Jimmy Carter was behind Iran Contra,
>global climate change is just a theory,
>the pee-Resident deserves all the credit for the Dow topping 20K, proving his policies are better than Obama's, and
>Drumpf's training at a military academy made him a great strategist.

In true simian-in-a-cage manner, when he was trapped by real facts, he could only fling feces.

All I could think of was the Picard meme my brother posted on FB: "Every morning, 'Damage Report'."

What if they all stayed home at harvest time????

What sort of effect would that have?

I live in WV. But even the small farmers living in podunk wv hire them to harvest their crops.

Might sort of give US consumers an idea of the interdependance.

I mean US workers are afraid to strike, so maybe they would be too, but if they did it, imagine the power they would have in solidarity.

Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto on Thursday canceled a meeting with US President Donald Trump that had been set for next week after renewed tensions over Trump's plan to build a wall on the border.

"This morning we have informed the White House that I will not attend the meeting scheduled for next Tuesday with the POTUS," Peña Nieto tweeted.

Earlier Thursday morning, Trump had tweeted that it would be better to skip the meeting if Peña Nieto continued to insist Mexico would not pay for the wall -- something the Mexican leader had said as recently as Wednesday evening.

"If Mexico is unwilling to pay for the badly needed wall, then it would be better to cancel the upcoming meeting," Trump tweeted and in an earlier tweet he noted the US's trade deficit with Mexico and what he said were the American job losses caused by NAFTA.

Jan 2017
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2017-01-26/pena-nieto-says-he-won-t-attend-meeting-with-trump

Trump’s spokesman, Sean Spicer, indicated the administration still wanted Pena Nieto to come to the U.S. “We’ll look for a date to schedule something in the future,” he told reporters. “We’ll continue to coordinate.”

In a second tweet, Pena Nieto said the door wasn’t closed to a meeting. "Mexico reiterates its willingness to work with the U.S. to achieve accords in favor of both nations."

Pena Nieto had been under domestic pressure to stand up to Trump, and that only grew after Trump earlier this week signed a directive to start the process of building a wall. In a televised address on Wednesday, Pena Nieto reiterated that Mexico will not pay for a border wall and said Mexico demanded respect as an autonomous nation even as it negotiates new trade rules with the U.S.
