'This guy is a fraud': Bernie Sanders blasts Trump for selling out voters to help Wall Street

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) on Sunday accused President Donald Trump of perpetrating a fraud on American voters by cozying up to Wall Street bankers instead of keeping his campaign promises.
While meeting with the JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon on Friday, Trump railed against Dodd-Frank financial regulations that were put into place after the economic collapse of 2008.
It is hard not to laugh to see President Trump alongside these Wall Street guys, Sanders told CNN host Jake Tapper on Sunday. I have to say this, Jake, and I dont mean to be disrespectful. This guy is a fraud.
This guy ran for president of the United States and said, I, Donald Trump, Im going to take on Wall Street, these guys are getting away with murder. And then suddenly he appoints all these Wall Street billionaires, his major financial adviser comes from Goldman Sachs and now hes going to dismantle legislation that protects consumers.

Of course, those of us here figured it out well before the election.

(3,847 posts)they may start to pay attention. There will be NO way they can cry and wail,"It's Obama's fault", as they also lose healthcare.
We can all point to this exact moment in time when the Orange Menace/traitor tanked the economy.

(14,174 posts)Maybe you should write this down for future reference,
Bernie praised Trump's decision in quashing the TPP for good. Because it is what he also agrees with. He doesn't have to cow tow to the Democratic party's paralysis because they are split on the issue. Is he supposed to flip flop and now be FOR the TPP?
He is also playing a game of teeing up the Don so he can later rip him a new one. Like praising him for, in the primaries, saying how much he will bring good paying jobs back to America and that he will work with him to make that happen. A shot across the bow that he will keep the heat up on him on that issue. Its a way to keep things in the public spotlight.
Yes he could have gone full turtle and said he wanted to make Trump a one term president and would oppose everything out of spite, but that only works on braindead deplorables, it doesn't work for the more intelligent Democratic base, and many independents either.

(14,174 posts)would have been going on if he had not run or dropped out early. I see this in any thread about Bernie and anything he does, no matter if they agree with him at the time or not.
Too many ex-Hillary supporters on here bitter and still want to attach all the blame on her loss on Bernie for daring to challenge her, and in so doing put pressure on her to listen more to the D base. Time to let it go, embrace his incredible stamina, his drive, his passion for his country to move forward and not backwards. The primaries are over.
