Pence defends Trump's attack on judge

Source: MSN/USA Today

Vice President Pence defended President Trump's attack on a federal judge who ruled against a travel ban from seven Muslim countries, and predicted Sunday that a higher court would eventually uphold the measure in the name of national security.

"We're going to win this argument," Pence said on Fox News Sunday, one in a series of news show interviews.

Pence told ABC's This Week that Trump was "speaking his mind" when he denounced a "so-called" judge — U.S. District Judge James Robart, based in Seattle — for ruling against the travel ban.

* * *

Trump criticized Robart in a series of tweets, including this one: "The opinion of this so-called judge, which essentially takes law-enforcement away from our country, is ridiculous and will be overturned!"

Just wondering about the premise that the thousands of judges throughout the U.S. ignore the law and just arbitrarily make rulings.

as all judgements in court so far have NOT found the EO lawful- the border patrol was defying the laws by ignoring the court orders. Those agents should be held accountable.

Where did you "hear" such tripe?

11. A legal judgement is, by definition, NOT an 'obstruction'

It is a determination if the order is lawful or not--in this case, NOT.
Nor is a judge under the orders of the Executive branch. And feel free to search the Constitution for any such rule that fits these circumstances.
Oh, yeah, and the ruling has been upheld so other judges agree with him..

6. From the article:

We are going to win the arguments because we’re going to take the steps necessary to protect the country, which the president of the United States has the authority to do," Pence said on Fox News Sunday, one in a series of news show interviews.

One can argue the logic of this, but what Pence is doing is framing the issue fro Trump's followers and for the corporate media.

Trump appealed to fear, and anger, and racism. This argument by Pence appeals to fear.

that Pence would be better than the RUMP.

Don't take this as a defense of the RUMP. I'm tired of having that argument.

so I can fast forward past Pence and his stupid ridiculous bullshit. It occurred to me that it must be awful to constantly be on the hot seat to explain, minimize, and lie about whatever traitor Trump said in the last 24 hrs. A decent person would just get fed up, throw in the towel and resign. But then, Pence put himself there and keeps himself there, so he has live with his awful awful job of being Trumps polemicist. I don't don't feel sorry for him. Pence is a putz.

due to our so-called president, he will declare Marshall law and decide there won't be any elections. Dictators don't allow elections. Fake elections, maybe, but not fair elections. Perhaps we've already had one.

I think the fact that he's speaking his mind is rather the point. He's showing himself to be an uneducated, and by that I mean high school educated, dope. Calling a judge who rules against you a bunch of names? Just dumb.

Although from where I sit, have at it. Diss the judiciary. They are clearly sanity's only chance.
