Top Judiciary Dem: Dissenters Have 'Every Right' To Challenge Trump Orders

Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, said Sunday that those who believe President Donald Trump has exceeded his authority have "every right" to challenge his executive orders in court.
"I think there is great concern. There has been a blizzard of executive orders and memoranda, some vague, some specific, some most probably unlawful. And you've got people in the streets here," Feinstein told Chris Wallace on "Fox News Sunday."
"This is what they call shock and awe. And there’s every right for someone to go to a court to see if the shock and awe is in essence lawful and constitutional," she said. "The President is not a dictator."
She cited Trump's executive order barring visitors from seven predominantly Muslim countries from entering the United States. On Friday, U.S. District Judge James Robart blocked Trump's executive order nationwide, and a federal appeals court denied on Sunday morning the Justice Department's request for an immediate stay of Robart's order.
