Warren blasts Labor nominee Puzder as business groups, protesters mobilize
Source: St Louis Post-Dispatch
Mr. Puzder has seen, firsthand, the impact of burdensome regulations promulgated by the previous administration, the letter reads. Being a respected, proven leader in an industry that represents approximately 10 percent of the workforce gives him a unique set of qualifications.
Puzders confirmation hearing has been delayed repeatedly while he completes his financial disclosures. Democrats worry that the committee vetting Puzder will repeat the process it used for Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, in which senators questioning was limited to five minutes.
In St. Louis, about 100 opponents of Puzders nomination marched in front of Hardees headquarters Monday afternoon around lunchtime. Hardees has been based in downtown St. Louis for years but is in the process of moving its headquarters to Nashville, Tenn., where its parent company CKE is consolidating office space.
Participants in Mondays protest carried signs with Puzders photo and the phrases wage thief and tax cheat.

I was present at the St. Louis protest with colleagues from Stand Up KC, the organization fighting for the rights of low-wage workers, like those Mr. Puzder steals wages from. I understand that there were similar protests happening in 48 cities around the country.

Mr. "for the little guy" nominated a guy who thinks automation's the bee's knees . . . and Trump's army of dumbasses aren't going to be the ones creating or repairing their robot replacements, because they're just not all that bright.
