Source: Politico
General Electric CEO Jeff Immelt says President Donald Trumps imagination is at work if he doesnt believe in climate change science or the Paris agreement that President Barack Obama signed onto before leaving office.
And Immelt is calling on other companies to step up to fill the void that the administration is leaving behind.
Companies must be resilient and learn to adjust to political volatility all over the world," Immelt wrote Wednesday in an internal company blog post obtained by POLITICO. When the US gets rid of tRump-Pence-Ryan and reverts to rationality and good sense, those countries and others will be ready to sell goods and services to the US as it scrambles to catch up.
Obama was trying to get the US ready to sell such goods and services to others like India and Southeast Asia.

(2,226 posts)Us the right thing to do. Businesses used to pay their employees a good living, donated to their communities and paid high taxes to insure good schools and infrastructure We are facing an uncertain future with climate change that could impact all our lives from air, to food, to water. It's good to know there are responsible people who care about their grandchildrens future instead of wanting to exploit public land, not pay taxes, and get out of providing safe work places so they can squeeze a few more dollars of an already top heavy economy. I hope more business people stand up for (might as well ask for everything) the EPA. Regulations were not created out of thin air and whims. There are two sides. Make a choice.
