Russia decries 'clear act of aggression' in US strike on Syria

Source: ABC News

Russia on Friday slammed the U.S. decision to launch airstrikes against a Syrian air base in retaliation for a chemical weapons attack by the Syrian government, calling the military action a "clear act of aggression" that would "further undermine Russo-American relations."

The harsh words came from Russia's foreign ministry, which lambasted President Trump's decision to send in 59 tomahawk missiles against a Syrian government air base the U.S. says was the origin of Tuesday's chemical weapons attack by forces of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, which left scores dead in Idlib.

"The presence itself of military personnel from the U.S. and other countries on the territory of Syria without the permission of the government of that country or a resolution of the U.N. Security Council is a gross, clear and in now way justified violation of international law," the Russian foreign ministry said. "If before it was explained as a mission in the battle against terrorism, now it is a clear act of aggression against a sovereign Syria. The taking of these actions by the U.S. today yet further undermines Russo-American relations."

Earlier, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Russian President Vladimir Putin regarded the strike "as aggression against a sovereign nation" that was carried out "in violation of international law, and also under an invented pretext."

Did the USA warn Russia in advance or did they not because your statement last night seemed to say both happened? It is either one or the other, yes or no.

Donald tRumputin for "pretending" to know what the hell he was doing concerning Syria, and for "pretending" to care about those poor babies/adults in Idlib who were Sarin gassed to death by Assad and for "pretending" to go after him?

Or, putin for "pretending" to be mad enough to send a Kremlin spokesman out to say that putin called the military action his puppet tRumputin carried out a "clear act of aggression" that would "further undermine Russo-American relations, and that it was "in violation of international law," and for "pretending" that he didn't know that those air strikes were aimed at the air strip even though he/Assad were warned well ahead of time?

First, 45* gives Putin a heads up about the air strike behind the backs of Congress, then Vladdie turns around and calls the US the aggressors?

I don't trust either one of them as far as I can throw them, and that's not very far.

Side note: Putin needs to have his throat cut from ear to ear--by someone with more judo skills then he has!

His words were a little more lengthy than that. Why not qote him ? No mention of it more appropriately at the beginning and in the body of the text, when it might have detracted from the plausibility of the putatively factual statement that it was them Syrians wot dun it. The MSM at its finest, foreshore.
