Trump: US-Russia relationship 'will work out fine'
Source: MSN/The Hill
President Trump on Thursday sought to turn down the temperature on the fierce dispute between the U.S. and Russia over Syria's chemical weapons attack.
"Things will work out fine between the U.S.A. and Russia. At the right time everyone will come to their senses & there will be lasting peace!" the president tweeted.
Trump's tweet comes after he signaled a more aggressive approach toward Moscow, Syrian leader Bashar Assad's main ally, after the chemical attack - backing away from his campaign promise to forge better ties with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
During a press conference Wednesday, Trump refrained from criticizing Putin directly but declared that the U.S.-Russia relationship "may be at an all-time low" after the U.S. air strikes on a Syrian airfield where the gas attack is believed to have originated.

Trump almost appears to admit that the 180 on Russian relations is just smokescreen.

Can we just get Putin to tell us what the standing is of US and Russia relationship
and skip the middle man aka Trump.

the firm he did business w/Cambridge Analytica helped to put the computer server
into Trump's HQ that was linked to a bank in the Ukraine and to Putin. Russia fed the
information that they hacked from various democratic computers and voter d-bases to
that computer.

(59,504 posts)So,
1) Trump is very very strong because he ordered 59 Tomahawks to strike a Syrian air base with questionable results
2) Tillerson is the best diplomat ever -- check out Sputnik and Fox News. ( Yes, between them - both are simultaneously true - Tillerson (and Trump himself) stood up to Russia telling them off AND Tillerson made HUGE progress with Lavrov and Putin -- even though there is no known outcome of the talks.
3) Trump is in no way connected to Russia or Putin -- because he attacked Assad
4) US policy is prioritizing attacking ISIS rather than Assad -- unlike before. (Forget that this is exactly Obama policy since 2014!)
Following the spin here hurts my head.

(23,105 posts)He and Pootie planned this out in advance so that they could accomplish their main goals, stop the investigation into Russia and Drumpf collusion to steal the election and publicly make up and remove sanctions. A lot of the media fell for this, but thankfully not all.
