Source: Axios

Other potential replacements: Axios' Alexi McCammond has listed the 7 people who could potentially replace James Comey.

to impeach him and I dont see that happening.
Other than that the only other way to free up the seat would be if he resigned or suddenly died both of which are highly unlikely.

political bias and misconduct in court decisions. He was vindicated by Senate trial. If the DEMs gain control of both houses, we might have a shot at Thomas based on his current history, and a shot at Gorsuch if he continues his strings of bad decisions.

and the odds of winning a total of 74 in 4 years in the Senate is zero as out of all the senators running in 2018 only 14 of the seats are held by Repugnants.
Could it happen in 2020? Maybe but honestly the odds are pretty slim.

The fact that he's even suggesting such a thing sets off all sorts of warning bells for me.

We need a totally independent, nonpartisan, investigation, prosecution and trail(s). Nothing less will do for our country and to salvage our standing in the world. We need every single player in this treasonous game brought to justice.

Merrick Garland was already nominated for a job.

Mitch McConnell and the Republicans wouldn't give him an up-or-down vote.

The Congressional Republicans need to wake up to the fact that there is no salvaging, no rehabilitating this administration and this president.

Trump is a corrupt liar and a likely traitor.

The sooner Lee and the rest of the GOPers realize this and stop backing him, the sooner they can try to begin to rehabilitate their own careers.
