Susan Rice: We can't allow Trump 'Twitter wars to become shooting wars'

Former Obama administration national security adviser Susan Rice warned that the Trump administration is "squandering" America's position abroad in a tough speech Tuesday where she chided President Trump for his Twitter habits.
Rice also needled Trump for reports that he does not always read his presidential daily briefing and for his approach to foreign policy strategy.
"We can’t allow Twitter wars to become shooting wars," she said Tuesday at the Center for American Progress's "Ideas Conference."
"So, instead of vacillating between reckless saber-rattling and dubbing Kim Jong-Un a 'smart cookie,' we should steadily apply increased pressure on North Korea, while protecting our allies and homeland."
