A Republican member of the Mississippi House of Representatives has called for lynching anyone who removes a Confederate monument, including lawmakers in a neighboring state.
On Saturday, state Rep. Karl Oliver (R) described the destruction of Confederate monuments in Louisiana as heinous and horrific and compared leaders in that state to Nazis.
They should be LYNCHED! Oliver wrote in comments posted on his Facebook page.

The message drew likes from two of Olivers fellow Republican lawmakers, state Rep. John Read and state Rep. Doug McLeod, the Jackson Free Press reported.....................

(3,847 posts)Living here in Mississishitti is a daily wonder in stupidity. Every day people write into the "newspapers" defending the Traitor. Of course there is the group of drooling idiots that blame the Democrats for Obama's administration for dragging us from the abyss.

(67 posts)The history of the South is one of out and out racism. It's despicable. Confederates weren't heroes, nor Americans, they were Traitors who should have been executed by firing squad or hung after the end of the Civil War. This would be a much better country today if they had been treated the same way as they treated their runaway slaves. Pull down their monuments, refute their lies, and destroy their legacies. It's the only way this nation will Ever become what the Declaration of Independence was meant to be, a nation without racism, slavery or repression.

When the world is clean again not one of those statues honoring the scum of the earth will be left standing.

(12,545 posts)is a traditional Republican value they're always trying to sell as American, kind of the same way they see slavery.
The Russians have the good sense to disavow all connections to Lenin and Stalin, and the Germans made any Nazi symbols illegal. But our Slave States cling to their immoral past. Fuck them. Fuck them with a barbed wire dildo.
