(7,529 posts)and the venue was sold out. I'm not trying to silver-line this tragedy, but it could have been so much worse with an arena-sized crowd. I'm sure we'll eventually hear if fatalities were due to the explosion or a stampede situation.

and in the case of Fundamentalist Sunni terror, to avenge terror/offenses/desecration perpetrated on Muslim cultures by the West. Whether it is Palestine, US Troops in SA being OBL's prime motive for 9/11, allowing Shiites to control the post-Baathist Government in Iraq, or just general discrimination against, or humiliation of Muslims by our decadent morals.

While they do have some legitimate grievances against the west, this type of craven behavior destroys any right they have to address those. I'm sure they would say we kill innocent women and children with our bombs but I doubt it's done intentionally.
Afraid of a stand up fight, they resort to this despicable act.

(37,457 posts)Ariana Grande is inconsolable, "in hysterics" after learning at least 19 people were killed at her concert.
Sources in contact with the singer tell TMZ, Ariana is devastated that young people who came for a good time are now lying dead and injured.
We're told her next concert -- Thursday in London at the O2 Arena -- is now up in the air for 2 reasons. It may constitute a safety threat, but also, as one source put it, "She's in no condition to perform."
As we reported, Ariana had just left the stage when a nail bomb exploded in the rotunda area near the front door as people were leaving the concert. Ariana was not hurt.

Her fans are mainly tweens and teens. This is just awful.

(7,529 posts)Grande is slightly notorious for some entitled episodes. You may remember when there was a story some years back that she and her friends were on video licking donuts they hadn't paid for in a shop to "sample" them. Not that that puts any expectations on her behavior, I'm sure she loves her fans.

(37,457 posts)Ariana Grande has indefinitely suspended her world tour in the wake of the terrorist bombing in England ... TMZ has learned.
Sources connected to Ariana tell TMZ, she will not perform Thursday in London and has decided for now to put the entire European tour on hold. She was scheduled to perform in England, Belgium, Poland, Germany and Switzerland.
Ariana just tweeted, "broken. from the bottom of my heart, i am so so sorry. i don't have words."
As we reported, Ariana is inconsolable ... "in hysterics" after the bombing. As one source said, she's incapable of performing for anyone. She and her team, we're told, are also deeply concerned about security.
