If the War of 1812 had gone on longer, New England may not have stayed in the union.

but if secession is what you want, I would like to see the entire country secede from anything Trump owns, make him pay for everything, roads, utility right-of-ways, his own justice system - and we'll build a huge wall around all of them and make people get passports to enter them.

The staff member who took my call seemed delighted to hear it. I wonder if she had been fielding calls from the below-average half of the state.

Anyway: proud of our Governor! Proud of our state!

Companies who buy their gas, Georgia Pacific... Their pocketbook is all they understand, they have zero empathy for any harm they do. Programed by dad from birth to be an evil, greedy, racist, elitist, POS!

They will attract talent and skills investments and intellect. Their tax bases should grow and they should be able to offer universal or single payer health systems outside of Trumps administration. I foresee population movements to these states which will care for their citizens with humanity and justice. Let the red-state-haters hang on with Trump's promises and GOP largess.

I ask you, why would off-shore money come back to the US when the companies parking their money there are already making record profits, using cheap labor, and not having to worry about the US laws and regulations? It is a fantasy that these companies will come running back to the US because Trump is promising tax cuts. They already do not pay much in taxes. The only way they come running back is for the countries where they have stashed their money makes it less profitable for them to do so.

Let's see what happens in the red band when climate change hits them in the gut and Trump ignores them as he has already done.
