Pelosi: Sessions should resign as attorney general

Source: The Hill

BY MAX GREENWOOD - 06/09/17 09:41 AM EDT

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) renewed her call on Friday for Attorney General Jeff Sessions to step down from the Justice Department amid reports that he may have held a third undisclosed meeting with Russia's ambassador.

"When you talk about all of these things, just remember there's something strange that isn't connecting," Pelosi said on MSNBC's "Morning Joe."

"Now I can't...confirm or deny the issue of the third meeting. But I did say on March 2 that he should resign," she continued. "Sessions should resign as attorney general."

Pelosi's comments followed former FBI Director James Comey's testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee on Thursday, in which he said that the FBI was confident that Sessions would recuse himself from the Justice Department's probe into Russian election meddling before he had done so.

Pelosi, as usual, is correct, resignation from public outcry over corruption might
be the only way to get him out short of impeachment which has political hurdles

Ryan would circle the wagons if Sessions were indicted

Besides talking that is. We all know what he's done and yet he's still there. Nothing happening with the Alabama bar complaints filed against him either......

I know the reps are in control. But nothing?

that the Sessions issue was something new, and a complete surprise. Man, I would have loved to be a fly on the wall in the closed session! Comey hinted at this and other things he couldn't discuss in open session.
