Trump: US patience with the North Korean regime 'is over'

Source: CNN

Washington (CNN)President Donald Trump, speaking alongside South Korean President Moon Jae-in, declared Friday US patience with the North Korean regime "is over."

"The era of strategic patience with the North Korean regime has failed," Trump said in a statement from the Rose Garden. "And, frankly, that patience is over."

The remarks were the latest sign that Trump is growing increasingly frustrated with the lack of progress in curbing North Korea's nuclear and ballistic missile programs, which top US officials have eyed with increasing concern in recent months.

The South Korean President's visit to the White House came after Trump approved a series of measures designed to ratchet up pressure on North Korea -- while also sending signals to China about the US' shrinking patience.

Remember who runs him, Bannon and Vlad.

Bannon and Vlad want the same thing for different reasons.

Bannon wants to end the administrative state or existence of a functioning government because he THINKS he will be left standing to loot the place. Vlad wants it so he can march in, literally, and take over.

Bannon will be put in prison for some crime on day one, by Vlad. The only thing Vlad hates more than honest/decent/good people are assholes competing for his power.

in retaliation if we attack NK??

Unless we completely nuke them off the face of the planet?

Unless they know something we don't, the SK president was probably defecating bricks as cheeto was saying that.

And there are 38,000 US troops that are not enough to repel a North Korean attack. So there be huge US mitary casualties and even bigger South Korean civilian before we could mount an effective response.

I pray that a) the Military would balk without a Congressional AUMF and b) Congress wouldn't give it.

This is what happens when you give somebody who has no idea of International politics and International relations the nuclear launch codes. Oh, and don't forget that China would be mroe than just a little upset, since North Korea is their client state.

South Korea and the US could ultimately defeat NK, but not without massive civilian casualties first. Also consider that China would back NK, so an attack on NK would likely result in a much larger war with an uncertain outcome.

and it is very easy to mobilize the reservists. Israel is a small country with most in reserve and has had no problem mobilizing when attacked.

An unprovoked attack on North Korea will spark a global war. End-timers think such a war will cause Jesus' return.

We are now at the point where impeachment is not enough. This entire administration needs to go to prison for life to protect the world from them.

would ever come back and save them when they are the ones who are filled with hate and are clamoring war and all in his name too. Anyone that can read knows that the Jesus described in the bible represented peace and love, not war and hate. I'm not a believer, but it seems to me these people don't even know how to correctly follow their own religion.

in the initial phase of any conflict would be to take out NK's leadership pre-emptively. We don't necessarily know exactly where Kim Jong Un is at any particular time so it's likely we would have to use nuclear-tipped cruise missiles to destroy NK's command and control structure before there was any opportunity to send any orders to the NK artillery staged near the DMZ and pointed at Seoul. How China and Russia might respond to this is anybody's guess, but the US would get crushed in the propaganda war that followed.
