Synagogue vandalized in Colorado Springs neighborhood

Source: KKTV

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - A local synagogue was vandalized with messages of hate and anti-Semitism Thursday night. It happened at Temple Beit Torah, near Wahsatch and Monroe Street just north of downtown Colorado Springs.

Friday morning, neighbors near the synagogue, noticed some of their cars and homes had been spray painted overnight.

When Daniel Bushman saw this, he had to do something.

---snip---

Colorado’s Anti-Defamation League or ADL says in 2014, they had reports of about 10 incidents. In 2017 so far, they've already seen more than 60.

Based on some of what I've been seeing, I'd say it could have been right wing lunatics or far left cretins
But, since it is Colorado Springs, it's more likely right wing terrorists
The Springs is very conservative. The Gazette-Telegraph (newspaper) is ultra right wing and in the late 80's and earl;y 90's (when I was stationed there) the city actively recruited these little conservative churches to move there
Focus on the Family was headquartered there (probably still is)

I'm not surprised at all. Likely loving trump supporters.

springs has gotten weirder and weirder over the years. I used to have to go there occasionally later on, I hated it as it grew really weird.

Evil, batshit crazy ones. The ones who cherry pick the worst parts of their religions to fuel their fear and anger, and ignore the calls to charity, mercy, and being welcoming to others.

I'm not a follower of any exclusionary, apocalyptic religions. But MOST adherents to them are decent people, even if they have some incorrect beliefs.

I frequently pass by a beautiful synagogue close to my home and I would be very upset if something like this happened.
