Republicans playing defense in August recess

Source: The Hill

Republicans are playing defense as they return to their home states with few signature accomplishments to tout.

GOP lawmakers are facing constituents with an agenda that is months behind schedule and growing frustration with a White House many believe has at times undermined key priorities.

Leadership is pushing back against the notion that their members are failing to make good on years-long campaign pledges. Instead, they want voters to withhold judgment until the end of 2018—when the 115th Congress wraps up.

In the latest sign of friction between the two ends of Pennsylvania Avenue, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) described the belief that the GOP-controlled Congress hasn’t “done anything” as “extremely irritating.”

McConnell attributed the narrative, in part, to unrealistic expectations set by President Trump.
“Congress goes on for two years, and part of the reason I think that the story line is that we haven’t done much is because in part the president and others have set these early time lines,” the Senate GOP leader said in Kentucky.

For over 30 years the republicans have been spreading there trickle down concept of BS and blaming the so called government as the problem.

When in fact the people have looked in the mirror and have finally seen who is the problem and it's not them it's a republican that has been blaming them.

And in just the last 8 years they have attacked health care for example, and not done anything of substance on infrastructure. And this country is now into 16 years of a combat situation, that has produced exactly what------------shit in both hands and over 200 million day being spent, while China is making alliances in the region and Africa for the natural resources.

And then when they run into a "#RESISTANCE", they have a majority leader whining about it being "extremely irritating"

Well guess what ass**** (McConnell and any other republicans that are now whining) how does it feel to have shoe on the other foot and shoved up your proverbial ass-------------------loser

were perfectly fine, accepting money from Russia. He KNEW this election was rigged. When he declared that the next president would fill the vacancy on the SC, he KNEW who that would be. Refusing to even hold hearings on Merrick Garland was very telling. What is wrong with the people of Kentucky, that they settle for a traitor to "represent" them? Time for housecleaning of the deadwood in office. They did little or nothing for 8 years while President Obama was in office. Now they have a raving orange lunatic in the WH, and they are pissing and moaning STILL.

WTF kind of lame goal-post moving excuse is that?

The previous 8 years they spent all their time and energy undermining the Democratic President who was trying to get the country out of the ditch his GOP predecessor drove us into and juggle 2 wars from that same GOP President.... And to add more fuel to the fire, they just spent the last 6 months continuing that undermining bullshit - attempting to wipe away everything that Barack Obama accomplished. Therefore they had no time to work on infrastructure bills or on meaningful changes to the ACA.

So yes, whine on....
