Mattis warns North Korea of 'end of its regime,' 'destruction of its people'

Source: ABC News

U.S. Secretary of Defense James Mattis cautioned Wednesday that North Korea's actions "will continue to be grossly overmatched by ours and would lose any arms race or conflict it initiates," a day after President Donald Trump issued a similar warning in the wake of reports North Korea is continuing to advance its nuclear capabilities.

Mattis added that North Korean leader Kim Jong Un should "take heed" of the United Nations Security Council's "unified voice," referring to recent sanctions issued against the nation, and called for the country to "cease any consideration of actions that would lead to the end of its regime and the destruction of its people."

He failed to mention the fact that before the North Korean regime ends, it's going to take many South Koreans and maybe some Japanese with them!!!

And someone should tell Mattis that a unanimous vote on sanctions, isn't an agreement to go to war! The rest of the world will sit Korean War 2.0 out, while Little Kim and Cheetoman wave their dicks at each other!!!

Just how do they think this all turns out?

As most noted, a military action on NK brings a humanitarian crisis of epic proportions to SK.

That aside, did this jackasses not see what happened in the ME, or what happened the last time we were in the Korean Pennisula?

Hell, we couldn't even control countries in the middle of deserts ...

go along with all his antics. Like Flynn got caught up in this Russian thing - does anyone think that these other three generals that work for Trump - Mattis, Kelly and McMaster - are also bad eggs and may have ties with the Russians as well. Why else would Trump trust them to be such close confidant's of him.

Remember Patreaus. He was dirty too. He got caught.

I'm just wondering about these generals as I hear them sticking up for Trump's insane comments of yesterday.

He must have pointed to our successes in:

-- Iraq - in turmoil, increasingly under Iranian influence - whoops!
-- Syria - no regime change, but millions displaced - and we're not taking any of them!
-- Afghanistan - they don't call it the Graveyard of Empires for nothing, and American lives still being lost, and for what?
-- Libya - how'd that Qadhafi regime change work out for the US?
-- Israel/Palestine - another one of those things that are more complicated than they expected?

Not a great track record. And nothing can happen with North Korea without complete coordination and support of the South Koreans. So all the words in the world mean nothing if that's not on the table.

NORTH KOREA HAS HOSTAGES
what about this is difficult to understand? they don't need to keep up with the US in an "arms race" any more than a bank robber with hostages needs to keep up with the police arsenal. they can say or do whatever they want, and the US can't go all military on their ass without exposing South Korea, Japan, and other countries in SE Asia to extreme danger.
