Bodies of some the 10 missing US sailors found after collision off Singapore

Source: ABC News

Bodies of some of the 10 missing sailors have been found in flooded compartments of the USS John S. McCain, a Navy destroyer that collided with a commercial vessel east of Singapore early Monday morning, the U.S. Navy said.

Ten sailors have been missing since the collision, and the remains of some were found by divers performing recovery operations inside the ship, Adm. Scott Swift, the commander of U.S. Pacific Fleet, said in a statement.

Remains that may belong to another sailor missing from the McCain were found by the Royal Malaysian Navy as it assisted the U.S. in waters east of the Straits of Malacca and Singapore, Swift said.

"Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with the families of those sailors and the families of our sailors who were injured," he said in the statement, issued from Singapore's Changi Naval Base today, where the damaged USS McCain is docked and where the tanker that it collided with is anchored. "The search-and-rescue efforts continue."

And hopefully wiped out a lot of his fans in the military, these folks look up to their commander in chief and he just shit all over them with that statement, no matter what his meaning was those are the words that fell out of his brain and mouth.

I hope all the family's of these service members are taken care of and will be supported while they heal.

These crew members died in the service of their country, no higher sacrifice exists, they do not deserve to be just some word salad or prop from this stain in the whitehouse.

While closure is a help, as long as they were "missing" there was still a slim hope. Very sad for all who mourn.

I do hope the Navy figures out soon why their ships keep getting hit. There's GOT to be some sort of system issue at work here.

It happens because the Republicans stole the election and installed an illegitimate, unqualified bigot as President.

Hacked nav and/or control systems seem a strong possibility. There are no coincidences in that business. The two collisions could be a "live-fire test" of new enemy capabilities in cyber warfare:

From McClatchy: US Navy collisions stoke cyber threat concerns

If so, I'd be very concerned about the security of computerized airliners with glass cockpits.

Families are grieving over a mistake, probably, somewhere along the line.

There was speculation about hacking. Has that been ruled out?

Who drown at sea, or give their lives. He doesn't like our military men and women - unless he can use them for backdrops at a self-aggrandizing press conference (which is ALL his "speeches" are).
