Trump Signs Memo Banning New Transgender Servicemembers

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump signed a memo Friday banning new transgender men or women from enlisting in the military, the Military Times reports.

The presidential memo, which has been delivered to the Pentagon, also tasks Defense Secretary Jim Mattis with determining whether to remove already enlisted transgender individuals from service and prevents the military from funding sex reassignment surgeries.

This is complete bull s*** and makes me so mad. These men and women, whom made 2 braver decisions than our President ever has, are heroes in my eyes because I can not imagine how hard it must be to be transgender in the military. They are serving our country, trying to do the right thing in life, and that includes being true to yourself. And our bigot President now wants to do another WRONG thing and punish greater people than he is, because that is all I think he really capable of. As you requested in section b) of your memorandum, we hereby advise you that a change in your policy as set out by this memorandum is warranted. As with your intent to bomb the DPRK with nuclear weapons three weeks ago, we strongly suggest that you forget about this whole issue with equal alacrity (Yes, we realize you have no idea what alacrity is. Look it up, for Pete's sake!) and return to boosting your ego and dismantling the economy instead of destroying morale among our troops in uniform and our Homeland Security agents.
