Smoking gun?: Maddow pinpoints a massive missing link in the flurry of Trump firings and resignation

Source: raw story

15 Sep 2017 at 22:26 ET

In President Donald Trump’s White House, all roads are said to lead to Russia, to his son-in-law and adviser Jared Kushner and…to Vice President Mike Pence?

According to MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow, “Pence has been caught out in way more of these scandals than his bland Beltway press coverage would have you believe.”

From the very first “dramatic departure” — controversial national security adviser Mike Flynn, just a few weeks after Trump’s inauguration — Pence’s shadow has loomed.

Pence, as Maddow noted on Friday night, was head of the presidential transition — and was also the recipient of a letter from Congress warning that the Flynn “was on the payroll of foreign governments” and an in-person visit from the former general’s lawyers with the same information.

Guess who gets to be Mr. President?
The Republican House will not impeach. The Republican Senate will not convict.

The only Just and Right remedy, would be for Dems to win both Houses, nominate Hillary Clinton Madame Speaker, and then impeach the Republican TICKET. She could then appoint Sanders, Warren, or Harris VP, and you can fill in the rest.

... and they both need to be GONE from our government.

I don't give a rat's ass about the 25th amendment. This has nothing to do with that and this could never have been anticipated by the originators of our Constitution. We're in totally new territory here.

Probably new Amendments will have to be written after this mess gets straightened out.

a) they don't watch, and b) educate a right-winger? "We don't need no edjumacation--We Got JA-A-A-AY-ZUS!!"

I realize that she would have to double or triple her show's content if she stopped belaboring her points ad nauseum so that a fourth-grader can understand them, but I wish she would give her viewers credit for a little intelligence and make points more succintly. It gets a little tiresome to be so condescended all the time.

turn the speed up 1.5X to 2x's normal speed. Her delivery is perfect for talk radio. She's the Rush Limbaugh of the Left. We need more like her! After a while you get used to her and don't want to miss her show.

just without the lies and hate.

I appreciate your support of her but she and Limbaugh are not comparable. Limbaugh is paid ~35 mil a year to put forth a fact-challenged stream of hate-filled propaganda that supports the far right agenda.

There are websites devoted to debunking and listing his lies.

Rachel is all about presenting carefully researched and factual information. She wants to inform and educate, not con viewers into believing a lie-filled agenda of hate and fear.

The only quibble I have with her is that as far as I can tell she doesn't report on topics like net neutrality that Comcast--her corporate overlords--would find problematic. But, in this day and age that's as good as it gets in terms of being able to operate under corporate control.

My boyfriend of one year, has never been into politics. When I moved in with him, I would watch Rachel every night. He is so hooked on watching her, if we're not home he will DVR the show.

He likes it because she explains everything in detail, & he gets that and understands because of her, what is happening.

They want to gut the Department of Education. They want to siphon money away from public schools and into charter schools that will be profitable for certain interests. They would rather have kids be taught about God than about how to recognize when they're being lied to.

Pence helped bring evangelical voters to Trump. People on the far right hate Christie, but love Pence.

I'm willing to bet there are a lot of conservatives who wouldn't have voted for Trump if he had chosen Christie instead of Pence.

when you already have a PAC in place to run in 2020, your motives are definitely suspect.

punce needs to be taken down too, for his complicity in facilitating the theft of the presidency, and to prevent this radical (fake) Xtian extremist dominionist from being able to use the presidency to enact his (fake) Xtian agenda. Just one example would be for instance trying to escalate tensions in the Middle East in order to bring about the end times. That's a definite possibility from this nutter.

Oh, and conveniently, he's a kochbot corporate tool who will indeed attempt to ram through their extremist agenda. And he's a much more competent politician than dump.

My fear is that the corporate media will continue to soft-peddle his crackpottery in order to reassure the peasantry that after dump goes down in flames we should all be happy with punce as president.
