Hillary Clinton said the vote for Brexit was a precursor to her defeat by Donald Trump in last year’s U.S. presidential election.

Speaking on the BBC’s Andrew Marr Show on Sunday, Clinton said: “Looking at the Brexit vote now, it was a precursor to some extent of what happened to us in the United States.”

Clinton also spoke about “the amount of fabricated, false information that your voters were given by the Leave campaign.”

She added: “You know, the big lie is a very potent tool, and we’ve somewhat kept it at bay in western democracies, partly because of the freedom of the press.

2. "Partly because of freedom of the press"???????

No, its because the press has become complicit and there are no check-and-balances to stop the lies. There should be accountability and then misinformation would not happen, but when the press is allowed to lie? that is the real problem.

When politicians are allowed to lie? That is not freedom of expression, a lie is a lie, and trying to dissuade people though lies should be punishable. If a politician, or anyone in his group start throwing lies like the guy did about Hillary and the Pizza place, knowing that those are lies, that person should pay a heavy price, not only that it is a lie, but that he put lives in danger.

Nothing to do with freedom of the press, the press needs the freedom to take the mask off people like trump and all the GOP.

3. I disagree. Obama making the biggest mistake of his life and appointing Comey FBI director

was the forerunner to Trump. Without a corrupted FBI she would have won in a landslide. I hate when HRC tries to show "balance" and "take responsibility."

Just because Brexit happened in the UK that doesn't mean it was a worldwide revolution. France just elected a typical center-left politician.

4. If not for Comey she would be president now and would have

the tools to deal with the Brexit situation. The spokesman/leader of Brexit is a pal of the Moron's and a stooge for Putin. Too bad none of that came out during the Brexit campaign.

Just think we could have had her to keep us from the brink.

6. A question I'm still trying to get an answer for?

Why is it that when a demo is elected POTUS they'll have some reThugs in defense, intelligence and/or justice/law-enforcement departments/agencies. Whereas when a reThug is no elected POTUS they make sure to clear out all and any demos they find including the ones that aren't political appointees near the top posts?

I think it is dead. After what they have done, it is time for Democrats to go for the throat. Only ruthless partisanship by Democrats will save our democracy now.
