Judge: 'Breathtaking' lack of leadership on Flint water

DETROIT — A judge on Tuesday ordered Flint, Mich., to choose a long-term source of drinking water by next week, saying the City Council so far is showing a ‘‘breathtaking’’ lack of leadership.
Governor Rick Snyder’s administration sued Flint to force the council to approve a 30-year deal with the Great Lakes Water Authority, a regional water agency, which has been serving the city since a lead disaster was declared in fall 2015. Mayor Karen Weaver agrees with the plan, but the council hasn’t been persuaded and just recently hired a consultant. A court-appointed mediator has been unable to broker a settlement.
US District Judge David Lawson expressed frustration and started his 29-page decision with a quote by John F. Kennedy about the risks of ‘‘comfortable inaction.’’
‘‘The failure of leadership, in light of past crises and manifold warnings related to the Flint water system, is breathtaking,’’ Lawson said.

This asshole hired the city manager to find ways to cut cost, so he decided to get water from a river that leached the pipes and created poisoning of the population, that killed human beings and placed people at risk for lead poisoning for the long term.
So the Mayor in her defense, is and has been pleading with the white haired asshole and the legislature to do something about replacing the pipes ( and they the asshole governor and the legislature was screaming that it wasn't in the "budget", so he had to come to Washington and basically spread more of his BS, to not take responsibility for his lack of leadership and his attitude of trying to hide his racist agenda that he created).
And as a final insult to the entire mess of the killing and creating long term health problems for the city, the corrupt governor and the corrupt legislature still gets a free pass not to go to jail for there blatant attempt to lay the blame on the population .
Well Judge Lawson, I am really glad that you used JFK to speak of the outright criminality that happened in Flint, but just maybe , and this is just a maybe, the asshole corrupt governor some how placed the blame of his corruption on the aids to take the heat for HIS SHIT----------------that's what you should have said---------------the leadership started in that assholes office and it needs to placed at that assholes feet.
This is BS------------------this mess was created by white haired right wing republican asshole and right wing republican legislature, and he should and them should bare the responsibility of his and there feckless, BS, leadership of deceit and deception, (and laying blame on the mayor in the beginning) right along with the legislature of that state and the courts that enabled this sh*t for this long
