Ky Gov calls for any elected official accused of sexual harassment to resign

Source: The Hill

BY MAX GREENWOOD - 11/04/17 06:19 PM EDT

Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin called on Saturday for elected officials and state employees who have settled sexual harassment claims to resign, saying such behavior falls below the moral standard expected of them.

"These allegations are, as I have said, reprehensible, they're indefensible, they're unacceptable. Period," Bevin, a Republican, said at a news conference.

"Given the severity of these, the specificity of these, the nature of these, I am calling on the immediate and for the immediate resignation of every individual who has settled a sexual harassment case, who is party to trying to hide this type of behavior."

Bevin's remarks came days after it was revealed that Kentucky House Speaker Jeff Hoover (R) recently settled a sexual harassment claim made by a female member of his staff.

The accusers often do what they accuse others of.

In the past several years, it's been about 20 to 1 of republicans to democrats having affairs. Would be even fewer for us if someone took away Weiner's damn phone away from him.

How Congress plays by different rules on sexual harassment and misconduct

https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/how-congress-plays-by-different-rules-on-sexual-harassment-and-misconduct/2017/10/26/2b9a8412-b80c-11e7-9e58-e6288544af98_story.html?utm_term=.c2fad8a6a2d8&wpisrc=nl_most&wpmm=1

If Whitehouse had chosen to pursue a complaint against the senator, she would have
discovered a process unlike other parts of the federal government or much of the private
sector. Her complaint likely would have been thrown out because interns have limited
harassment protections under the unique employment law that Congress applies to itself.

Congress makes its own rules about the handling of sexual complaints against members and
staff, passing laws exempting it from practices that apply to other employers.

----------

When settlements do occur, members do not pay them from their own office funds, a
requirement in other federal agencies. Instead, the confidential payments come out of a
special U.S. Treasury fund.

Bevin, like Paul Ryan's gang of thieves, is wanting to gut Kentucky of any remaining safety net for the poor and retirees - therefore a potential death sentence for thousands of folks in need. And yet, they make a huge deal out of morality-related issues that have been long settled in court.

Next, he'll be calling the Legislature the assembly of deacons.

You know she was asking for it. Part of her slip was showing. Pathetic fucker. He also happens to be the majority leader in the Senate here in Kentucky. Where I happen to shamefully live. Sorry no good fucker. It was all about power, he could never get laid based upon his looks or intellectual heft.
