New Jersey Republican lawmaker Frank LoBiondo retiring

WASHINGTON -- Rep. Frank LoBiondo, the New Jersey Republican who most often breaks with his party, is retiring, according to two sources familiar with the decision.
LoBiondo, R-2nd Dist., was first elected in 1994 as Republicans ended 40 years of Democratic control of the House, and has served 11 terms on Capitol Hill. The sources spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss it in advance of LoBiondo's official announcement.
His spokesman, Jason Galanes, did not respond to requests for comment.
LoBiondo's most recent act of defiance came last month when he voted against the congressional budget resolution targeting the deduction for state and federal taxes. He also was one of three House Republicans from New Jersey to oppose health care legislation that the Congressional Budget Office said would leave 23 million more Americans without insurance.

The problem however, is that they still tend to vote 90+% of the time with their party and that party has now not only gone off the cliff, but has descended into a pit under the sea.
