Trump demands investigation of dead intern linked to low ratings Joe Scarborough in Twitter rampage

President Donald Trumps epic Twitter rampage continued on Wednesday when he demanded an investigation into an unsolved mystery surrounding MSNBC host Joe Scarborough.
So now tha Matt Lauer is gone when will the Fake News practitioners at NBC be terminating the contract of Phil Griffin? And will they terminate low ratings Joe Scarborough based on the unsolved mystery that took place in Florida years ago? Investigate!
Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 29, 2017
The unsolved mystery Trump is referring to revolves around Lori Klausutis, a 28-year-old intern who was found dead in Scarboroughs office in 2001 back when he was still a Florida congressman.
A medical examiner concluded that Klausutis had suffered from heart problems that caused her to faint and fatally hit her head on a desk, where she was found dead hours later. Both police and the medical examiner said they found no evidence of foul play, or that Klausutis death was a suicide. There has never been any evidence linking Scarborough to her death.
Scarborough subsequently responded to Trumps tweets by simply noting that the presidents mental health seems to be in a less-than-ideal state.

(160,542 posts)How long does he intend to use that against anyone on tv who criticizes him?
I've noticed that huge numbers of people watch or listen on Sirius MSNBC to that show every day.

(10,252 posts)Actually, when it comes to the bottom, I don't believe there is one for DJT. Nothing is too vile and vulgar, hateful and mean-spirited for that man. Bearing so many resentful, long-standing grudges is not the way to be happy. Have you noticed that even when he relaxes, he wears a perpetual frown on his face?

(57,099 posts)if the Orange Blunder really cared about her, he'd look it up and use it, Lori Klausutis.
She had a cardiac event and hit her head on the corner of her desk.

(62,444 posts)It's very sad.
I used to ask them if they thought her parents were also in on the cover up, or just didn't give a shit about their daughter.
It must be difficult to have the death of a loved one become some sort of plaything for assholes.

(57,099 posts)objectifying my daughter into a weapon against a Republican (or Democratic) politician, even Joe Scarborough, (who is really not so much of a nice guy).
Sometimes when I am in a wicked mood I JOKE that Mika is a victim of Stockholm Syndrome.

(65,060 posts)I don't however believe that "it" is getting a billion dollar tax break.
I don't believe the "it" really has that kind of money. Look at what happened to the valuation of the company, just a couple weeks ago.
The more the experts dig into the leveraging that took place, the less actual net worth there is.
Why do you think someone would pay personal expenses from their own charitable foundation and their own campaign coffers.
The high life is being lived with money that isn't big enough to support it.

(45,488 posts)From Huffpost back in July:
A few days later, CNN reported that MSNBC officials were concerned about Scarboroughs friendship with Trump and his increasingly favorable coverage of the candidate. According to CNN, MSNBC insiders called Scarboroughs admiration for Trump over the top and unseemly. The Washington Post observed that Trump received a tremendous degree of warmth from the show, and that his appearances on the show, in person and over the phone, often felt like a cozy social club.
That coziness was caught on tape during an MSNBC town hall with Trump in New York that Scarborough and Brzezinski hosted in February 2016. An unaired clip of banter between Brzezinski and Trump in-between segments revealed the two of them colluding about what questions shed ask him. Nothing too hard, Mika, Trump says. OK, she responded.
Even after Trumps most disgusting and troublesome traits were revealed to the entire country throughout the campaign his abuse of women, his attacks on Latinos, immigrants, Muslims, and people with disabilities, his profound ignorance of basic issues and government policy, and the corruption and scandals surrounding Trump University and the Trump foundation Scarborough (and to a lesser extent Brzezinski) continued to lend Trump their support.

(162 posts)I don't know if it's true, but I'm very cynical when it comes to these Republican media/congressman types... Some people might want a more thorough investigation than what happened, and that's a very reasonable position.
Since Trump is the messenger for something our side has been saying, what does that mean for us? Do we defend Joe now?
