Scarborough: Trump allies told me he has dementia

Source: The Hill

MSNBC's Joe Scarborough said on Thursday that people close to President Trump told him during the campaign that Trump has "early stages of dementia."

During MSNBC's "Morning Joe," Scarborough said Trump is "completely detached from reality."

"You have somebody inside the White House that the New York Daily News says is mentally unfit," Scarborough said.

"That people close to him say is mentally unfit, that people close to him during the campaign told me had early stages of dementia."

It's great to have new allies in the resistance to Trump. But Scarborough was instrumental in getting Trump nominated and then elected. Now that Trump turned on him, Joe's all about how crazy Trump is. But if he really did believe that, why would he inflict this man on us? I think a lot of these Trumpers-turned-non-Trump thought that they'd get this idiot elected, and then use him to get ACA repeal and draconian immigration policies and all sorts of tax cuts for the rich. They didn't think through that their puppet was more like a bigfoot-- stupid, yes, but also mean and destructive.

I wonder if they will make it that he has dementia and has had it since before 2016. They could argue that he was essentially the front man for an evil team that included Bannon, Flynn and Manaford, who coopted the naive Don Jr and Jared into agreeing to things that were not legal.

He leaves office without being charged with treason and the Republicans would label all the people indicted as opportunists - not real Republicans.

This could happen ONLY if Republicans see that outcome better for the party than having him in office.

Reagan was so far into Alzheimer’s that he didn’t recognize friends, yet there was no move to remove him from office. Heck, I could almost see the “logic” of delaying that until he was in for 6 years, paving the way for Bush the Elder to be president for a total of 10 years...

But, as usual, the Republicans put party over country then, and will probably do so this time, barring Orange Man crapping his pants and flinging it at people. Maybe not even then...

but I think it's entirely possible that he's a habitual lying sack of shit who is also now becoming demented, and is now mentally unfit in addition to being morally unfit.

On the other hand, this may just be a narrative the GOP establishment is pushing in order to minimize the blowback from Trumpsky to the rest of them. If so, I hope they buy into it and act on it; we need to get Trumpsky out of the white house by any means, and if the other Republicans manage to talk themselves into a belief that they can somehow keep his stank from rubbing off on them if they remove him, I'll encourage them at every step. So let's 25 45!

If you listen to Trump speaking a few years ago and listen to him now, there is an obvious decline in the quality of his words. There is reason to worry. In Reagan’s first term a coworker of my girlfriend called her while I was there and said that at a dinner just completed where he was at Reagan’s table Ronnie told a long anecdote and then just a few minutes later told it again. He knew then Reagan had dementia.

Houston, we have a problem.

But it's a well known "secret" that he had Alz. at least by his 2nd term. It was obvious.

where it was oft-speculated that Nancy ran the WH at that point. Ironically we are seeing this sort of thing manifesting in someone who was already the textbook con man, an archetype that relies on being able to scope out a mark and convincingly "play a part" long enough to score, and then move on. If you look at old interviews of Drumpf from almost 40 years ago, you see he pretty much talks (and bullshits) the same way today as he did then, but it seems that now, his demeanor has shifted to a hyper-focused intent to get revenge by any means necessary, and that results in his inability to determine where he is, why he is there, and what he is supposed to be doing. I.e., he can no longer function independently.

President Trump went after North Korean leader Kim Jong Un during a speech on tax reform Wednesday, calling him a "sick puppy" a day after Pyongyang's latest missile launch.

"We have tremendous support for this tax plan because these massive tax cuts will be rocket fuel ... Little Rocket Man," Trump said, interrupting himself to use his nickname for the North Korean leader, "... rocket fuel for the American economy."

"He's a sick puppy," Trump added.

http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/362425-trump-calls-kim-jong-un-a-sick-puppy-after-missile-launch

This isn't someone with a brain that is making a case - he's reading an autocue, and when he sees the word "rocket" (written for him by someone else), he thinks "rocket? Why have I been saying that a lot recently? Oh, 'rocket man'. That's what I've been succeeding with, so say that now."

dementia is a disease that degrades or impairs your ability to think, remember, and reason. But people with dementia are not necessarily dangerous or racist or evil.

It may not even be fair to say he has dementia. He has some mental illness, or illnesses, that bring on psychotic episodes. The psychosis divorces him from reality, and that makes him dangerous.

Whatever it is, he is a fucking lunatic. But dementia didn't make him that way. It was a pre-existing condition.

We just need to keep putting the brakes on the soulless sons of bitches until we can turn Congress Democratic, and undo some of the destruction they have already started.

Wake up America. The voters are either going to save this country or flush it down the toilet of no return. I'm not terribly optomistic; but I'm terribly hopeful.

The leaks about insiders at the White House calling to express concern for his stability could be a way to prepare his fans AND the rest of America for his removal. His fans won’t be happy no matter how he is removed, but less likely to revolt if they can show he is “sick”or suffering from dementia. They all know someone with dementia or have a family member who has it so they can make him a sympathetic figure to the fans, while still explaining why he must go.

Once they get this tax deal through, they will be most happy with what they got out of him. After that he is a problem.

Never mind that they are gambling with our lives and safety over the North Korean issues. I was thinking this morning suppose NK decides to lob off an ICBM loaded with a nuclear warhead? Well, most likely we have the capability to knock it out of the sky. Fingers crossed. But won’t someone or somewhere get the results of a nuclear blast in the sky? Won’t there be some fallout from that? So no matter what happens, we have a big problem. And our Congress, Cabinet and Veep are willing to roll the dice that maybe nothing will happen before they can remove tRump.

MAYBE.

Evoking the 25th, citing he has dementia. Then comes the spin: leave the old fool alone, he didn't know what he was doing. He won't see the inside of a jail cell...mark my words.

Has any doctor told you that you have early stage dementia or anything like it? They could use it as a defense to get him off with his crimes.
