White House sees the Flynn charge as "a win," source says

Source: CNN

One person familiar with the mood in the West Wing insists top White House officials are actually breathing a sigh of relief today.

“People in the building are very happy,” the source said. “This doesn’t lead back to Trump in any way, shape or form.”

The source noted that Flynn is being charged for making false statements, but not for any improper actions during the campaign.

“This is a further indication that there’s nothing there,” the source said. “This is a win for the White House.”

Flynn pled guilty to making false statements in exchange for singing like Pavarotti about Trump's involvement with Russia.

I suppose they'll learn soon enough, though.

As if it means the prosecutor got his hide in the Russia investigation and must be ready to wrap it up and go home. The problem with that is that Flynn stated he "has agreed to cooperate with Special Council".

Even Trump must realize that from the ship of state helm, the tip of the iceberg has just come into view while the main peril lurking beneath the stormy waves is already scraping its way along the hull.

Then again, maybe the captain is a fucking moron.

With a Republican majority in the House and Senate, this regrettably is a viable option for 45 at this time. The stench is not enough for Congress yet. A bunch of indictments of active staff would sure help. Come on Mueller, we need more and more dirt on tRump.

We need to kick a bunch of them out in 2018.

Stanley, Hawkeyes throttle No. 3 Ohio State 55-24

Nate Stanley threw for 226 yards and five touchdowns, and Iowa throttled third-ranked
Ohio State 55-24 on Saturday, dealing what's likely to be a fatal blow to the Buckeyes'
playoff hopes.

He admits to lying to the FBI. Everyone knew he had. He was caught doing that. He was also up on other charges. Made a deal to let him out of the other charges, and his son, and he'd plead to the lying-to-FBI felony.

There is something out there that Trump directed him to work with Russia. But that's not much. It's not illegal to work with Russia. It could even be part of his job, depending on WHAT he was working with Russia on. We haven't heard anything about that, yet.

So I think many are anticipating really bad news for Trump & family, but so far, we aren't seeing it. We KNOW they colluded with Russia to sway the election, and that they do Russia's bidding...that Russia has infiltrated our govt to a startling degree...but so far, I haven't heard anything from Flynn detailing anything like that.

I guess we'll find out. I would think that Mueller wouldn't let him off the hook for nothing. We'll see. I can only hope, since we KNOW what went down in this campaign & administration.
