Documents Reveal New Details on What Trump Team Knew About Flynns Calls With Russias Ambassador

Source: The New York Times

WASHINGTON — Since it first emerged that Michael T. Flynn had repeated phone conversations last December with Russia’s ambassador to the United States, one of the most significant unanswered questions has been what transition team officials and Donald J. Trump, then the president-elect, knew about the calls.

The documents made public on Friday show that the transition team knew that Mr. Flynn was going to be discussing sanctions with the then ambassador, Sergey I. Kislyak, and raise new questions about what President-elect Trump knew about the conversations.

Here are some key dates around the conversation and the subsequent fallout that offer insight on what the transition team knew at the time:

said Mueller could be working the timeline for collusion with Russian. That this represents the "asks" associated with the help. One "ask" was lessening/eliminating the sanctions. So Mueller can work backward from these dates to establish when the "help" began.

...but it's not a legal term. The legal terms are things such as conspiracy, bribery, emoluments, etc.

Now wait just one minute... On 11/14, Sessions revised his prior statements:

Sessions told the House Judiciary Committee that he now recalls a meeting last year with then-candidate Trump where a campaign adviser said he had connections with Moscow and could help arrange a Trump meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“I do now recall” the meeting where adviser George Papadopoulos made the proposal, Sessions said, “but I have no clear recollection of the details of what he said during the meeting.”

Sessions has previously told Congress he was unaware of any Trump campaign contacts with Russia, leading Democrats on Tuesday to accuse him of lying under oath.

He was referring to the March 2016 meeting wherein Papadopoulos raised the topicof engaging with Russian contacts:

“After reading his account, and to the best of my recollection, I believe that I wanted to make clear to him that he was not authorized to represent the campaign with the Russian government, or any other foreign government, for that matter,” Sessions said on Tuesday.

After that meeting, Sessions said, he did not have “any further knowledge” of additional contacts between the campaign and Russian officials.

The discussion between Flynn and Kislyak took place on Dec 29th, 2016. Both before and after the call, according to the NY Tmes article linked above, Flynn spoke to a senior official on the Presidential Transition Team at Mar-a-Lago.

Its unknown if Sessions was there for the meeting, but surely, as a member of the Presidential Transistion Team, he had to have been aware of the events of 12/29 ??

I don't think Mueller has any new questions...I think he knows exactly what went down at this point.
