EXCLUSIVE. 'You Want to F*ck With Me Tonight?': Horror Stories from the Texas Capitol

Source: The Daily Beast

Groping, forced kisses, and lurid cat-calls: New accusations hit two prominent Democratic state legislators from Texas.

Lauren*, a Texas legislative intern, was standing underneath the bright blue-and-red neon sign of The Continental Club, a famed Austin bar frequented by schmoozing politicians, lobbyists, and reporters.

That week in May 2013 was filled to the brim with end-of-session (“sine die”) parties, and Lauren was with a group of other interns on South Congress when Democratic state Rep. Borris Miles pulled up.

According to Lauren, Miles leaned out of the carriage he was riding in and pulled out a large roll of money. He handed “maybe $500” to an intern and then looked at Lauren.

“You know how you have the roll of hundreds that you see on TV? It was like that,” Lauren told The Daily Beast.

we are going to fall one by one!!

Bannon laid out his strategy for all to see 2 days ago when he accused dems of weaponizing sexual assault charges. Obviously, we aren't doing that, but he is projecting the republican strategy for all to see.

Dems have to get smarter!!

...but he's smart enough to stay in the shadows and he never takes credit.

We need to get Bannon out of this dog race. Somebody somewhere must have some major dirt on that guy.

Lee Atwater and Karl Rove would be proud. Their legacy is being carried on and expanded. In future elections, all Republicans have to do is come up with a few women to accuse any male Democratic candidate of sexual harassment—no real proof needed—and he’ll either drop out of the race or lose the election. Having Democratic women run will likely not work either because there is still lots of prejudice toward women in politics. The Democratic Party is self destructing over this, and I’m both sad and angry. This is just too stupid for words. I hope Franken fights this and insists on waiting for real proof.

Democrats are much more likely to come forward because we tend to believe these things are *wrong*.

It's not that the Republicans are not doing it, and given their bent towards power domination, they are likely doing it even more so... it's that the Republican base tends more to be into this kind of power domination and less likely to report it.

about Republican women. If they choose a child molester over a democrat, it will speak volumes.

To see just how it falls speaks volumes. It should never have gotten this far.

This guy has quite a disturbing history and needed to be exposed, regardless of what his political party is.

or even re-elected. People really need to look up a candidates history. It is so easy to google a name on the internet. This man sounds
