Conservatives ramp up attacks on Mueller

Source: The Hill

BY JONATHAN EASLEY - 12/08/17 06:03 AM EST

Conservative efforts to discredit the Justice Department special counsel are intensifying as Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian election meddling moves steadily closer to the White House.

Republicans on Capitol Hill are increasingly frustrated by what they view as a partisan exercise that’s rife with conflicts of interest. A half-dozen GOP lawmakers held a press conference on Wednesday to demand new investigations into Mueller’s team.

Also on Wednesday, a conservative watchdog group filed a lawsuit to pry loose information about special counsel investigators, a day after it blasted out emails obtained through a Freedom of Information Act request that the group claimed indicated prosecutorial bias.

Conservative media amplified the growing calls for Mueller to be fired, with Fox News going wall-to-wall with demands that the probe be shut down.

From Pussy Grabber to Pious sidekick to idiot scions to Congressional traitors, every single one of the GOP assholes will walk because the GOP will circle the wagons and the Democrats will form a circular firing squad.

This is our reality.

A party in power that lives for nothing more than service to the oligarchy and a party out of power that has no core, no message and no hope. I honestly have never been more depressed in my life.

pushing back on this nonsense. First they throw the best liberal in the senate under the bus and complete silence on this. Are they trying to drive down donations?

They can be really obsessive that their powder might possibly be insufficiently dessicated if it’s used.

It's the tea party types.
They only care about their hate, power and money. Nothing comes before ANY of those...not family, not friends (the thought of them having friends makes me ill), not country.

13. The LEO heroes?

I thought law enforcement and the military is comprised of nothing but heroes whose actions can never be questioned unless you want your patriotism challenged? The hypocrisy is astounding. I heard the Repukes grilling the FBI director on CSPAN yesterday. They all implied in lockstep that there was some agent who contributed to Hillary for America (HFA). And by making a political contribution it automatically meant there was a personal agenda at play and it poisoned the entire case (fruit of a poisoned tree argument).

Being the main forces behind this- it seems quite well organized, with lots of convincing (for the ode with poor critical thinking skills) "faux evidence" to discredit Meuller and team.

For so long, they've dismissed Mueller's probe as nothing to be worried about, assuring other Republicans that it was nearly over.

Now, they're going hog wild with attempts to shut it down, either legally or via media pressure. I wonder what Mueller's found that now has them thinking it's anything but a frivolous investigation?

If they have no reason to fear, if they have nothing to hide, then why not let a universally respected man like Mueller clear their names?
