Document Expert: Roy Moore Signed Yearbook of Accuser

Source: Newsweek Magazine

ROY MOORE SIGNED YEARBOOK OF WOMAN HE ALLEGEDLY SEXUALLY ASSAULTED AS A TEEN, DOCUMENT EXPERT SAYS

BY JOHN HALTIWANGER ON 12/8/17 AT 4:59 PM

Alabama GOP Senate candidate Roy Moore signed the yearbook of a woman who accused him of sexually assaulting her when she was a teenager, according to a report from a forensic document expert obtained by Newsweek from the woman's attorney.

The expert, Arthur T. Anthony, compared public documents with Moore's handwriting and signature to the yearbook inscription as well as a graduation card Moore sent to another woman recently reported by The Washington Post. In the report, Anthony wrote, "It is my professional opinion...that the signature and handwritten notation above the signature...were prepared by Roy Moore."

Below are images of the yearbook inscription allegedly signed by Moore and one of the public documents featured in Anthony's report. The inscription states: "To a sweeter more beautiful girl I could not say Merry Christmas. Christmas 1977. Love, Roy Moore, DA. 12-22-77 Olde Hickory House."

In November, Beverly Young Nelson accused Moore of assaulting her in the 1970s when she was a teen and he was in his 30s. Nelson and her lawyer, Gloria Allred, pointed to the yearbook inscription to bolster the allegation.

If the Freepers said the sky was blue, I wouldn't argue it was green just because they're Freepers.

Someone needs to ask Nelson straight up, "Yes or no. Did you write "Moore" at the end of that signature? Yes or No." because it looks different.

I've consistently had a problem with this signature. It just didn't pass the smell test and I called Allred out on several threads for showing up in front of the TV cameras with this lousy yearbook story that has now sullied the more legitimate claims against Roy Moore.

And I was flame-roasted because of it.

14. Chromatic abberation
Sat Dec 9, 2017, 12:09 AM
Dec 2017

"In optics, chromatic aberration (abbreviated CA; also called chromatic distortion and spherochromatism) is an effect resulting from dispersion in which there is a failure of a lens to focus all colors to the same convergence point.[1] It occurs because lenses have different refractive indices for different wavelengths of light. The refractive index of transparent materials decreases with increasing wavelength in degrees unique to each.[2]

Chromatic aberration manifests itself as "fringes" of color along boundaries that separate dark and bright parts of the image, because each color in the optical spectrum cannot be focused at a single common point. Since the focal length f of a lens is dependent on the refractive index n, different wavelengths of light will be focused on different positions."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chromatic_aberration

Photos of the yearbook signing taken straight on show one color.

She won't let anyone else look at it. We're supposed to simply take her word that an "expert" looked at it and deemed it authentic. And we already learned that the woman she's representing forged part of it. So yeah, little surprise Moore's supporters are doing their happy dance today.

Allred needs to take her fake yearbook and just go away. She's done more harm than good here. And when Moore wins, he ought to send her some flowers.

Your words:

"And we already learned that the woman she's representing forged part of it"

Even Fox News backed off from the forgery charge. But the Freepers are running with it. Why are you?

Your words:

" We're supposed to simply take her word that an "expert" looked at it and deemed it authentic."

Arthur T. Anthony is a member of The American Society of Questioned Document Examiners and is certified by American Board of Forensic Document Examiners.

Your words:

"Allred needs to take her fake yearbook and just go away."

What is your evidence that the yearbook is fake? I bet you don't have anything as the "evidence" you tried to push in post #12 is easily explained as chromatic aberration and probably also because you couldn't explain why the photos of the yearbook signing taken straight on and not at an angle show the ink used to be all black with no variation in color or shade.

Your words:

"She won't let anyone else look at it."

Here's a statement made by Moore's attorney, Phillip Jauregui:

""Until they release the yearbook, all we know is, they're not telling the truth and they've lied," he said."

http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/nationworld/politics/ct-roy-moore-yearbook-20171208-story.html

You've taken the same position as Moore's attorney.

There is a gradient of apparent ink color across the entire area, not a discrete separation between 2 ink colors. The orange line only indicates an angle 90%(loosely) to the direction of the gradient.

Here is one person's definition:

"Basically, analysis breaks down the subject and provides a detailed understanding of the subject, critical analysis provides the insight of that subject it evaluates the information found after the analysis and comment is where we express our views on the conclusion arrived after the analysis and the critical analysis."

https://www.quora.com/What-is-the-difference-between-analysis-critical-analysis-and-comment

What you are praising is what many refer to as "Flinging shit in the hope something sticks."

Note the difference.

I know you've seen what we're talking about; not just about this particular subject. The Conyers issue was my example. I was told there had been no admission from Conyers and I had no proof of taxpayer money used. neither of which was true.
I'm biased in favor of my side, yes, but I'm also not going to give them any preferential treatment simply because they're ON "my" side. When they're wrong, they're wrong. I keep hearing that only Dems are being punished for these issues, yet so far I've seen 2 GOP reps either resign or say they're out. And probably another soon. Of course the arrogant Moore isn't one of them, but he'll be a hilarious albatross around the neck of the GOP and a total embarrassment for the entire time he's there.

a master at deciphering handwriting and printing since I have had to compare students' writing as a teacher when reading and grading their work...especially when they leave their name off of their assignment or test and I have to figure out whose it is by comparing the writing of other kids.

Look at the "ay" in "say" and the "ore" in "more"...this is definately 100% Moore's writing.

A respected and certified expert said it was Moore's signature. But Moore claims to not know the woman or the restaurant. Two other women, other then Beverly Nelson, say that Moore was a regular customer there. Moore's wife has argued that the Olde Hickory House restaurant didn't even exist back in 1977 but that was easily refuted by many.

Moore, his wife, his campaign and supporters have tossed out lie after lie in an effort to undermine his accusers.

Who do you think lacks credibility? Moore or his multiple accusers?

Edit: I'm reading your other posts and maybe we agree more then I initially thought. I apologize for my attitude.

If he loses the election on the 12th, it's a big slap in the face for Trump and Repubs plus it narrows the gap in the Senate. If he wins, it's to our benefit because he's so whacko and as you say, it will be a gift for '18.

Thanks for the interesting discussion but I have to sign off now and get some chores done before the wife gets home!
