The House Intelligence Committee will question longtime Donald Trump associate Rhona Graff on Friday, the latest in a string of key interviews as the panel looks to conclude its probe of Russian meddling in the 2016 election.
The committees closed-door meeting with Graff, who for over three decades was Trumps gatekeeper at Trump Tower in Manhattan and ultimately a senior vice president of the Trump Organization, will be the second this week to take place at an undisclosed location in New York over the objection of Democrats.
Most of the panels interviews have occurred at a secure location inside the U.S. Capitol and been led by the elected members of the committee. Though the House finished legislative business for the calendar year on Thursday, only a handful of lawmakers are expected to travel to New York for the closed-door meeting.
Democrats left Washington, D.C,, for the holiday recess Thursday after a new round of urgent warnings about what they portray as Republicans stepped-up efforts to undermine the Department of Justice investigation of potential collusion between Trump campaign officials and Russians.

(9,426 posts)a list of the gop members on this "probe" Not a one can be trusted. IF they really were interested in TRUTH, the meetings would include both parties. Keeping it secret, and partisan gives the game away. Are they too dumb to understand that, or do they just not care?

(9,426 posts)It is not in DC. What the HELL are they hiding? I suspect Nunes, since he crept in the dark of night, to deliver to the WH the findings from the committee. He slipped away from his security detail. I wonder how much Russian money HE took?

(129,017 posts)Most only parse it with the complaints from the ranking member (Adam Schiff), notably because of the timing of the tax giveaway vote and CR around the time of these interviews... But both of those pieces of legislation were completed early yesterday and I would expect either he and/or his staff are going to be there. When they say "Democrats have left...", well not ALL "Democrats" are on this committee. Republicans "left" too. This is specifically an issue with this committee.
A CNN article from last week had this -
The witnesses -- one is a Russian-American businessman, Felix Sater, and the other Trump's longtime personal assistant, Rhona Graff -- will be interviewed by Republican and Democratic staff next week in New York, two sources said. That could prevent lawmakers from interviewing the witnesses if they have to stay in town to vote on Capitol Hill, leaving the matter to committee staff.
