Sanders: Trump should stop 'bragging' about Americans losing health insurance

Source: The Hill

BY JULIA MANCHESTER - 12/24/17 09:22 AM EST

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) said on Sunday that President Trump should stop "bragging" about more Americans losing health insurance as a part of the Republican-backed tax plan.

"Instead of bragging about more Americans without health insurance, we should join every other major country on Earth, guarantee health care for all people and end the absurdity of paying twice as much per capita for healthcare, as every other major nation," Sanders told CNN's Jake Tapper on "State of the Union."

Sanders was referring to comments made by Trump last week, when the president said the tax plan essentially repeals ObamaCare through eliminating its individual mandate.

Trump touted the repeal of the individual mandate during a Cabinet meeting at the White House last week.

They can shout all they want on chat boards and to their buddies about how badly they hate Obama and the ACA but we KNOW the truth.

Those fools out in far western Kansas who went 90+% for Trump have something coming in their mailbox soon and it won't be a thank you from Donald Trump. It will be a notification that as of a certain date the ACA is no more and they need to contact health insurance companies and buy their own individual policy's--or don't, it's all on your back again.
