Flake not ruling out presidential bid

Source: The Hill

BY BRETT SAMUELS - 12/24/17 11:12 AM EST

Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) on Sunday said if President Trump could see a Republican or independent challenger in 2020, adding that he’s not ruling out a possible White House bid himself.

“I do believe if the president is running for reelection, if he continues on the path that he’s on, that that’s going to leave a huge swath of voters looking for something else,” Flake said on ABC’s “This Week.”

Flake, who announced he is not running for reelection to the Senate in 2018, has been a vocal critic of Trump and the Republican Party under his leadership.

Flake said Sunday the GOP is largely appealing to "older white men," adding that the party must find a governing philosophy to be successful in the future.

On the floor of the Senate, the Treasury secretary, Steven Mnuchin, observed the proceedings, as senators mingled. The Republican senators Susan Collins of Maine and Jeff Flake of Arizona laughed as they spoke to each other while protesters implored them to change their minds and vote down the legislation.

He may be a critic of Trumplethinskin but he voted for the agenda anyway. So he's either a party soldier doing what he's told by leadership or he agrees with what he voted for - neither of those traits make him a viable choice IMHO. they are all so afraid of the fickle finger of the Tweet.

but who do the pukes have that's any better, i.e. not even worse? After wracking my brain, I literally can't think of anyone who isn't even more of a vicious crackpot. And yeah, I'm lookin' at you, Mr. Forced-Carry-Your Downs-Fetus kasuck.

And fluke apparently is a hard core libertarian, which is prolly his rationale for voting for the GOPee tax heist. He thinks there will be free market unicorns and rainbows springing up all over, or some shit like that. Or he doesn't care.

No puke who voted for or supports the tax scam should ever be elected or re-elected to any office, ever. let alone the presidency. Guess that rules out all current GOPee senators. What a tragedy for the nation. Please pardon me while I mourn. NOT.

Or the Kochs': VP Pence? Paul Ryan? Orrin Hatch? Scott Walker? Or?

Otoh, both the Tea Party and Trump were populist revolts against what the Kochist machines were doing. Very unfortunately, both revolts ended up controlled by their enemies. Not the brightest bulbs and very little sign of even slow learning.
